Assistant Conductor, Education Programs Executive

Michael Stanley is a French Hornist who began conducting at age eighteen when he founded and directed the Stanley Wind Ensemble in Ventura County. He is currently Assistant Conductor of the Burbank Symphony.

Stanley garnered outstanding recognition as an educator for the performances of his student ensembles during his eighteen-year career. His Burbank High School bands and orchestras have earned many Superior ratings, including a recent string of Unanimous Superiors and 1st place awards. Prior, his students from Walter Reed Middle School earned consistent Superior ratings; his Jazz Band was featured at the 2002 CMEA All-State convention.

Stanley completed graduate and post-graduate music/conducting study at UCLA and Cal State Long Beach.
